Abstract
Now that my analyses of the semantics and pragmatics of proper names, indexicals, demonstratives simple and complex and definite descriptions are in place, I want to make a few very brief concluding remarks: firstly I want to take a step back and examine some of the overall claims about singular expressions which are inherent in this account; secondly I shall explore where my account fits in to the range of stories on singular expressions currently on offer; and finally I want to make a few suggestions about the possible implications of this sort of account for theories of natural language meaning.
