Abstract

The Arabian peninsula comprises two member states of the United Nations, viz. Saudi Arabia and the Yemen, the independent Sultanate of Muscat and Oman, and the British protected states of Bahrain, Kuwait, the Trucial Shaikhdoms and Qatar.
