Carol I. King of Roumania, born April 20, 1839, son of the late Prince Karl of Hohenzollern-Sigmaiiugen; elected ‘Doimiul,’ or Lord, of Roumania, April 20,1 1866; entered Bucharest May 22,1 1866. Proclaimed King of Koumania March 26,1 1881. Married, November 15, 1869, to Princess Elizabeth von Neuwied, born Dee. 29, 1843.
