Abstract

Every surah or chapter of the holy Qur’an begins with the above declaration of faith and enshrines what the Muslims think of Allah or God. Muhammad is the prophet of God. He was born in Mecca about the year 570 CE and may have been influenced by Judaism and Christianity. The claim of the Muslim is that he is the final prophet and the Qur’an was given to him in stages by Allah.

In the name of Allah the Compassionate the Merciful.1
