Abstract
Once upon a time, Democrats and Republicans in the United States generally agreed on environmental matters. Democrats were just as responsible for pollution in American rivers that burned with fire, and Republicans could take equal credit for passing laws that tackled air pollution.
All mankind is divided into three classes: those that are immovable, those that are movable, and those that move.
