Abstract

As an overview to social class and schooling, as well as the complexities of the intersection of race and class, Lewis provides a literature review of relevant research studies pertaining to the need to equip teachers with tools to address social class within their classrooms. Also explored are topics of social class in the Black community and how preservice teachers negotiate social class.
