Abstract
This chapter presents a detailed description of the structure of the Socratic course design and helps instructors plan their own ways of integrating Socrates into their existing courses. The chapter then describes how a typical class meeting is structured: the seminar and role-play discussion. Students also complete larger writing assignments every several weeks in which they respond to assigned questions that call for them to conduct imaginary dialogues between Socrates and a representative of a sub-discipline of modern psychology. These imaginary dialogues are presented and discussed publicly during various “conferences.”
