Abstract
This chapter investigates the requirements that Complexity puts on the analysis of conflicts. Initially a theoretical analysis of Complexity is conducted which ends with a provisional set of requirements of what Complexity implies for conflict analysis. Second, there is a discussion on how current conflict analysis methods meet those requirements and a possible way forward. Finally, Jan Frelin reports on a test case, where a revised method was tested on the situation in Mali in the spring of 2012.
