Chapter Overview
Chapter 8 provides an in depth review of the impact of racial colorblindness within specific institutional contexts: namely, within the domains of education, law, and organizations. As each of these domains has a vested interest in efficient and effective diversity policies, relatively sizeable academic literatures specific to each domain have developed. We also know a great deal about the respective real-world impacts of colorblindness within these domains. As in the previous chapter, almost all available evidence suggests that colorblind institutional policies are harmful with respect to minorities.
