Abstract
Rainbird presents a case study of a Digital Storytelling (DS) project in which she worked, in co-operation with a local Kenyan NGO, with former street boys. 16 participated in the workshop, which took place at the end of their rehabilitation period in Ndugu Mdogo Rescue Centre in the slums of Kibera, Nairobi. The purpose of the project was to give a voice to street children in Kenyan society and thus promote children’s rights in Africa, as well as developing participants’ self-esteem and life management skills in a creative way.
