“So What” and “What Next”

The final chapter contains the conclusions, and is divided into two parts, reflections (or “so what”) and actions (or “what next”), to suggest to managers ways to adopt real options and option games reasoning. The “so what” reflections offer five lessons that seek to guide managerial thinking and actions. The “what next” question identifies the areas where a change in managerial mindset or world views may be considered. The chapter concludes by outlining some of the actions that managers could take to explicitly embed option games logic into their strategy formulation and decision-making.
