Abstract
There is no question that Luther has a strong eschatological orientation, believing as he did that we are in the End Times. He frequently taught Realized Eschatology in the sense of believing that good deeds and faith are signs of the End Times. But especially when addressing despair, he taught a Future Eschatology. He believes that in death the soul sleeps in the arms of Jesus until He comes again to raise the dead physically.
