Privatizing Israel: An Introduction

  • Chapter
  • First Online:
The Privatization of Israel

Abstract

This chapter includes three sections. The first provides a conceptual background for the rest of the book, which mainly focuses on defining privatization and its various possible manifestations. The second provides a political-economic background that places Israeli privatization policies in their concrete—and to a certain degree unique—historical context. The third section provides an overview of the book and its organizing logic.
