Abstract
Carter Burwell discusses the unique abilities of musicians involved in the recording of the score for Fargo, similarities between himself and Mychael Danna, his relationship with Howard Shore, the importance of ambient sound to his scores, the depiction of sexuality through music, and how Steven Spielberg producing True Grit (2010) forced him to rethink some of his cues.
