Abstract

The Introduction connects the main content of the book, Elicitive Conflict Mapping (ECM), with the previous two volumes of the trilogy that introduced the principles of Transrational Peace Philosophy and Elicitive Conflict Transformation as its applied method. It presents the author’s perspective at the end of a ten year research process, explains why the tool of ECM is necessary in the frame of Transrational Peace Philosophy and how it is situated and embedded within the diverse toolkit of Elicitive Conflict Work. It justifies the chosen research method of this volume—using movies and theatre pieces as learning examples rather than examples from real life situations. It further discusses the most relevant literature for this specific field.
