Abstract
This chapter explores how spatial relationships within song sequences are created and represented in musical numbers in audio-visual contexts. It acknowledges that the musical genre, and musical numbers more specifically, are in many respects defined by their interaction between sound and image; therefore, considering the relationship will give a more comprehensive understanding than an analysis of the individual elements. It makes use of virtual reconstructions to aid in the analysis.
