Abstract
For over twenty years I have accompanied autobiographical therapeutic per-formances (ATP) in a variety of contexts, including drama therapy programs, group and individuals in private practice—and have also gone through the process myself. Although each journey is unique, I have observed several patterns that tend to recur, forming the basis of what I call the dramaturgy of autobiographical therapeutic performance. This chapter reflects on some of the main aspects involved in this dramaturgy, in terms of both the process, and also of the pieces created under its guidance and inspiration.
