Abstract
The conclusions bring together the arguments put forward in the book, and consider the conceptual and empirical contributions as well as wider implications. With regard to migrant transnational politics, the book brings to the fore the diverse ways in which Colombian migrants in Europe become engaged. It also makes visible the many connections between the armed conflict and migration flows, as well as the work of the diaspora in favour of peace. The diaspora politics of Colombian migrants might be limited and riddled with complications, but it can also represent a valuable resource. Finally, the book helps provide a more nuanced image of the way men and women migrants engage in transnational politics according to different variables, and the impact on gender relations and equality.
