Abstract
This chapter checks back to the four objectives of the book stated in chapter one and evaluates to what extent they have been addressed. The chapter concludes on a sobering note that the complexities in the emerging bio-threat and risk environment will make it difficult for our intelligence communities to prevent entirely malicious and harmful bio-attacks to the extent they come about. While there are no silver bullet prescriptions to managing uncertain yet emerging bio-threats and risks, the book identifies several areas where improvements can be made within our intelligence communities, in order to reduce the frequency and impact of intentional biosecurity and bioterrorism events.
