Abstract
This chapter offers basic training principles to avoid gender shrapnel and to ensure the creation and maintenance of a more equitable workplace. In this chapter, Mayock focuses on structures, processes, and people, including human resources professionals, administrators, and employees. She maps training principles for the trainers (e.g. Title IX officers) and recommends the use of case studies that are specific to a particular environment. Sample training sessions for prevention of sexual discrimination and harassment and for broader hiring practices are included.

I couldn’t agree more with Estrich on this point. Nevertheless, my sense of reasonableness on the Clinton-Lewinsky case differs vastly from that of Estrich, one of Bill Clinton’s defense lawyers. While Estrich views the case as consensual, and therefore not harassing, I view it as harassing principally because it took place in the most iconic workplace of the USA, thus setting a standard for our threshold of hierarchical sexual activity in the workplace. Had it only taken place in a hotel room or private residence, then I would not necessarily call it sexual harassment.
