Implementing an empirical approach, the chapter defines the different audiovisual sectors based on the intersection of three variables: the nature of audiovisual products, production process and distribution dynamics. In accordance to these variables, it is possible to identify three macrosectors: television, cinema and web. For each sector, this chapter will explore the peculiarities of the main audiovisual products.
