Abstract

This chapter presents the main features of media regulatory reform in Tunisia, Libya, and Egypt, along with a comparative analysis of the trends and challenges thereof. Topics include media funding and ownership regulation, coercive legal dispositions, and attempts to liberate national media from the grip of Ministries of Information.
