Abstract
Key Historical Events. On 22 March 1862 San Marino concluded a treaty of friendship and co-operation, including a de facto customs union with Italy. The treaty was renewed on 27 March 1872,28 June 1897 and 31 March 1939. with several amendments 1942–87.
