Abstract

HUNGARY first became an independent kingdom in 1001. The first written Constitution is the ‘Golden Bull,’ issued in 1222. For events in Hungary since 1918 see THE STATESMAN’S YEAR-BOOK, 1945, pp. 1006-7.
