Abstract
Peter II, born September 6, 1923, son of the late King Alexander I and Queen Mary, daughter of the late King Ferdinand of Rumania, born January 9, 1899, succeeded to the throne on October 9, 1934, after the assassination of his father, King Alexander I, at Marseilles on the same date; assumed royal power, March 27, 1941; married in London on March, 20, 1944, to Princess Alexandra of Greece.
