Abstract

Mihai (Michael), born October 25, 1921, son of King Carol II and Queen Helen, daughter of the late Constantine, King of the Hellenes; proclaimed King in virtue of his father’s renunciation of the succession on the death of his grandfather, King Ferdinand, July 20, 1927, under a Regency. Ceased to be King on his father’s accession, June 8, 1930, when he received the title of Great Voevod of Alba Julia; proclaimed King again on his father’s abdication on September 6, 1940.
