The multiplication table

Consider a group with unspecified operator and a list of n elements, named {E, A, B,..., Z}. The Closure Axiom says that a “product” is defined for every ordered pair of these elements, giving n 2 products in all. It seems natural to display them in a square “multiplication” table. We have written a display operator for such tables, called BoxUp. Here is what it produces if we take the elements to be {E, A, B, C}, and the entries to be blanks
