Schur’s First and Second Lemmas are lemmas for the Great Orthogonality. They are generalized statements about the results of two closely related algorithms; the First generalizes results seen using ReduceRep, presented in Chapter 30 (SchursReduction); the Second generalizes a result seen in Chapter 26 (TestForSimilarity).
