Abstract

CO and 13CO observations of the molecular outflow source L1551 IRS5 are reported. Lower limits to the mass and energetics are calculated, and these are found to be too high for the outflow to be radiatively driven by the central object. However, the values are found to be in quantitative agreement with recent far infrared results reported in the literature.
