Abstract

We have analyzed IRAS survey addscans of relatively nearby, large spiral galaxies by fitting to a model in which an axisymmetric, inclined disk is superposed on a central point source. A focal plane model of the IRAS detector response is integrated into the analysis. Preliminary results indicate that the technique is useful for spatial decomposition of IRAS fluxes for normal spirals.
