Abstract

A morphous silicates produced from water-glass solutions are applied in many areas of industry. Sodium silicates are used in detergent formulations and potassium silicate powders in paints. These spray-dried powders are water-soluble. The difference in the inner structures of the amorphous water-glass powders can be checked by the thermoanalytical method.
