Abstract
To describe the most important qualities of a dry-plate-rectifier, a particular knowledge of the characteristics in forward (liberating) and reverse (blocking) direction is necessary. Both characteristics are discussed including their thermal ratings. Being very essential, the aging effects are regarded especially. Load, efficiency and cooling have a narrow connection and they are described in the same chapter. On testing rectifiers increased demands are very often required, which are gone in. The way of production of copper-oxid-rectifiers is described in a short way, because these rectifiers are important for testing proposals. More detailed is gone in the production of Selenium-rectifiers. More and more kinds of manufactories are used, in which Selenium is condensed to the support plate out of the vapour phase.
