Resonant phenomena in colloidal crystals

Abstract

Colloidal crystals of completely deionized suspensions of latex speres are subjected to oscillatory and steady shear, as well as to homogeneous and inhomogenous electric fields. Various resonant phenomena observed in such experiments are reported.
