Molecular modelling of cellulose and hyaluronan three-dimensional structure

Abstract

Tartu plastic space-filling atomic-molecular models and packing energy calculations were used to investigate cellulose and hyaluronan three-dimensional (3-D) structure. The molecular modelling data allowed us to propose for both biopolymers novel antiparallel structures suitable for explanation functional properties of these widespread molecules.
