Abstract

Luminescence decay profiles in the presence of quenchers have been studied in water-in-oil microemulsions and lecithin vesicles. The application of various decay models has been critically examined. It was found that fractal modeling can be applied to describe decay in microemulsions when they allow quenching exchange between microdroplets. Preliminary results show that fractal modeling can also be applied to large lecithin vesicles.
