Abstract
Altmann’s cellular method is used to calculate the band structure of d-electrons in chains of Pt2.3+ ions which in K2[Pt(CN)4]Br0.3·3H2O form a quadratic array, the spacings of neighboring chains being large enough to justify neglecting interaction effects to first order on the band structure.
