Abstract

We report NMR-PFGSE self-diffusion coefficient measurements of long cylindrical reverse micelles in ternary system lecithin/cyclohexane/water. 1H-NMR linewidth values of the trimethylammonium signal, as a function of W 0, at different temperatures and lecithin concentrations, were also determined. The measured water self-diffusion coefficients, \(D_{H_2 O}\), show a strong dependence on W 0. Both \(D_{H_2 O}\) and D lec (lecithin self-diffusion) exhibit a characteristic dependence on the experimental time scale. An attempt to rationalize the data obtained in terms of different motional regimes is reported.
