Abstract
The bending elasticity of a surfactant film at the interface oil-water in a microemulsion system can be described by the spontaneous curvature and two elastic constants k and ¯k In this study we derive the sum 2k + k for the system n-octane/ C10E5/water from the polydispersity of the relaxation rate distribution found by a CONTIN analysis of the intensity correlation functions. A value of 1.2/kT is found.
