Abstract
Direct and Large Eddy simulations of a rectangular jet impinging on a flat surface are compared. The major problem here is the nonperiodicity of the boundary conditions. The LES was performed with a dynamic subgrid model without and with the use of a law of wall. Results for the Reynolds number of 600 show good agreement of LES without wall law and DNS for the assumed boundary condition.
