Fronts and pattern formation in reaction-diffusion systems

Conference paper
Part of the Lecture Notes in Physics book series (LNP, volume 519)

Abstract

We have seen in the different examples treated above that reaction-diffusion systems offer a vast choice of problems which can be approached by using many different theoretical tools. As often in nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, even the solutions of the simplest models are challenging. Many reaction-diffusion problems are still waiting to be solved.
