Abstract

A special set of boundary conditions has been devised with the view to break the inflow-outflow coupling associated with periodic boundary conditions. This necessitated the replacement of the FFT routines with a multigrid solver. The inclination for roll cells to develop was reduced, but not eliminated, and firm conclusions concerning their questionable reality could not be drawn.
