Abstract

A thermodynamical model of continuous media based on second gradient theory is able to study the motions in fluid interfaces. We present a review of some results obtained with the internal capillarity theory for the boundary conditions of such media, the problem of microscopic drops and bubbles and the waves in the vicinity of the critical point of a pure fluid.
