Abstract
Several parameters of the Landau Free Energy Function of TTF-TCNQ are calculated taking into account the real atomic structure. It is shown that the coupling between longitudinal translations (CDW’s) and molecular rotations (librons) on neighbouring chains may provide a suitable mechanism for the establishment of the transverse period between 53K and 38K. The behaviour of Cp in the vicinity of the two close phase transition is studied.
