The systematics of the 1f7/2 neutron single-particle energies

Abstract

The centroid energies of neutron particle and hole states in the 1f7/2 shell are combined to give single-particle energies using the definition of Baranger. It is shown that the latter can be better expressed as eigenvalues of a local Saxon-Woods potential.
