Abstract

Scenes involving virtual humans imply many complex problems to manage. We slowly come to the point of simulating real-looking virtual humans. In a short future, we will not be able to see any difference between a real person and a virtual one. However, the synthesis of realistic virtual humans leads to obtain and include the specific features of the character of interest. For well-known personalities such as Marilyn, Humphrey, or Elvis, there is less scope for mistakes as the deviations will be very easily detected by the spectator. In this paper, we emphasize an important issue in the creation of realistic virtual actors: the creation and animation of their clothes.
