Abstract
This paper describes the validation of an expert system for diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction developed to support doctors without cardiology specialization. The conception of this expert system took into account the characteristics and problems of Brazilian Health Care System. However since similar features are found in the Health Care Systems of other countries, the usefulness of this system is not restricted to the Brazilian context.
