Abstract
This paper is concerned with the design of ‘Low-and-High-Gain’ feedback controllers in order to achieve an objective called perfect regulation (p.r.). Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of state feedback controllers that achieve p.r. are derived for general linear multivariable time-invariant systems. More importantly, an explicit eigenstructure assignment procedure by state feedback that achieves p.r. is developed.
