Abstract
A balloon gondola with a solar telescope spectrograph mounted on an equatorial platform has been launched from Aire/Adour (France) October 1, 1982. High quality spectra with a spectral resolution better than 1.5 pm and with a 4–5. arcseconds angular resolution have been recorded in the atmospheric window domains : 195–212 nm and 272–292 nm. Results from this first flight are discussed.
