Abstract

This paper presents the activities undertaken in TELEFONICA I+D to implement the connection management functionality defined in the TINA-C Architecture for the management of an ATM network. These activities are part of the ASTERIX project, whose final objective is to deploy advanced telecommunication services in the short-medium term. In order to achieve this objective, the TINA-C Architecture concepts and ideas are used.

The author wishes to thank the rest of the members of the ASTERIX connection management group for the interesting discussions held. These people are: A. Barbero, J. Cañadilla, M. Rangel and F. Ruano.
