Abstract
A minimal dimensional approach to the pure Yang-Mills theory in the strong lightcone gauge is constructed generalizing a method developed by Speer, Breitenlohner and Maison in the standard, local and covariant, framework. The known results on the ultraviolet renormalizability of the theory are confirmed.
